Sharing Your Activity Data

Thanks for taking part in this survey. The purpose of this research is to understand how people track and share data about their daily life, such as exercise, diet and sleep.

This initial questionnaire will be used to allocate participants into two groups. The first group will be invited to take part in a telephone or Skype interview; the second will be asked to complete a second more detailed online survey. You will therefore need to provide an email address at the end of this initial survey.

You do not have complete the second survey or take part in a questionnaire after you complete this initial survey, you may withdraw at any time.

You will not receive anything from taking part in this study, but we hope you agree that it is an important area of research and by taking part you will be advancing our current understanding of how people are using and engaging with personal logging tools, as well as any problems or concerns that they have regarding these tools and devices.

This initial survey will take about 5 minutes to complete. The follow up activity (interview or second survey) will take between ten minutes and forty minutes depending on the type of activity and how detailed your responses are.

If you would like to withdraw from the study, or have any concerns either before you start or once you have completed this survey, you should contact Richard Gomer (r.gomer@soton.ac.uk) in the first instance.
